This tour provides a unique experience, through an incredible and paradisiacal itinerary.
It starts with the natural aquarium of the Botinas Islands, where it is possible to swim and snorkel with the fish that inhabit the place, going to one of the most beautiful beaches in Angra, the Jurubaíba beach, also known as Praia do Dentista.
Take advantage of the lunch stop at Praia do Vitorino, and indulge in local cuisine, rich in fresh seafood produced in Ilha Grande’s own bay. After lunch, the tour will continue to Ponta da Piedade, a place that has received the famous island of Caras for decades. At this stop it is possible to take a picture in a historic church.
Make sure you have enough battery and memory on your phone to take beautiful selfies in this paradisiacal itinerary!
Undoubtedly, an unmissable itinerary for tourists and visitors.
The islands are to Angra what Christ the Redeemer is to Rio de Janeiro! Our most famous postcard. Their shape resembles two boots when seen from above, which is why they were named that way. The ocean current that surrounds them means that the sea around them is always clear and teeming with little “Sargentinho” fish. Visitors who know how to swim will find it hard to resist a dip in the water due to their beauty. Did you have some bread left over from breakfast? Take it in your bag, the little fish will love it.
Jurubaíba Beach is also known as Praia do Dentista (Dentist's Beach), and became famous in the early 1990s because it is home to a single house, that of former President Collor's dentist, Mr. Olímpio Faissol. It is a charming beach with white sand and calm seas, perfect for young visitors to enjoy. Because it is very sheltered, it is a meeting point for boats of all sizes, and the "parties" that take place there are usually famous on weekends. Affectionately called "Juruba" by the locals, legend has it that it is home to the "sunroof" of the region, as blue skies are usually guaranteed there.
Praia das Flechas, the generous vegetation of the surroundings makes the emerald green of the Atlantic Forest reflect in the sea that bathes this beach. Home to the first restaurant in Gipóia, the traditional Bar do Luiz, its sands make for an easy post-lunch stroll, without losing sight of the imposing Ilha Grande and the comings and goings of the speedboats that cruise around our bay.
Praia da Piedade, located right on the “top of the city”, another name by which it is also known, is home to the charming Church of Our Lady of Piedade, dating from the 20th century, which hosted weddings of the islanders of Gipóia. In the low tide, a small strip of sand connects the beach to Piedade Island, famous for housing the first Caras Island of Angra. Its calm waters provide a very relaxing sea bath with a picturesque landscape! Angra dos Reis is a destination that has kept its fascination over the decades. It gained international fame in the 1980s, when it was chosen as the setting for Brazilian novels. Even with the passage of time, Angra Bay continues to attract visitors irresistibly.
